st. ali

was an adorable cafe that reminded me partly of brickway in providence, rhode island and partly of bar stories back home. there's something about that wall...

turns out they opened in april and the original st. ali is in melbourne. my goodness, melby cafes are really taking over the world!

st. ali's was noteworthy for all the right reasons - gorgeous friands with moist, dense crumb (yum!) hearty brunch, its own roaster and a vertical garden behind the bar. oh, and waitresses who are very easy on the eye ;)
